Heidi, the founder of AiA, recently (February 2026) her long-term role as Lead Artist for Friction Arts at The Edge in Birmingham. The free Saturday Art Club and Youth Cre@TE program are funded by Children In Need and YIF. Over nearly four years, Heidi has led various projects and exhibits with the Art Club, focusing on relevant and contemporary issues. All work is co-created, drawing on youth and community voices to address significant. Collaborations with several renowned international artists have included co-created works exhibited for Windrush 75 COP, along with residencies and exhibitions at various locations, including The Botanical Gardens and Birmingham Central Library Galleries. Notably, Birmingham Throne for the coronation toured Birmingham and has been featured in other works by Vanley Burke.
