 CV1 :  Creative Voices & Creative Futures.

For  ages 9 - 18  living with Disability, Neuro-divergence and SEND.

Smiling Woman Portrait

A much-needed free group for children and young people living with disability, neurodivergence, or SEND.

We are developing a weekly programme with sessions during the school week for children and young people who are unable to access a school environment, alongside out-of-school sessions for the wider disability community.

We have planned the programme in partnership with experienced delivery partners and hope to offer sessions in art, ceramics, graphic design, physical theatre, singing, and DJing. Sessions will be skills-based, building confidence over time, while also signposting future opportunities, pathways, and creative careers.

We have submitted a funding application and hope to hear back in March. Alongside this, we will continue seeking additional funding to make this programme a reality, as we know that over 180 families have already expressed interest in this much-needed provision.

 CV2 :  Creative Voices 2 : Voices of Hope

This essential free group is designed for women who have faced or are currently facing adversity, life-controlling issues, or a lack of connection with others. It will serve as a safe space for participants to connect, delve into their personal narratives, and articulate their hopes and dreams for the future. Together, we will foster connections, engage in creative explorations, utilize art as a form of activism, acquire valuable skills, and envision a brighter future!

CV4: Creative Voices 4:
Home-ed Art Club Scholarship programme : For those  experiencing low income.

Painting Stones

A much needed free group for children and young people who  are Home-educated but on a low income and cant access paid sessions. Many children who are Home-Educated are out of school due to schools not meeting their needs, bullying, SEND and mental health or their own safety . AIA is well aware that many families have a parent giving up an income to educate them at home, or may be on receipt of UC.  This group will be fully funded and be a safe space to connect,  explore, learn and create , whilst gaining  creative and practical skills that may be used in the future and  developing possibilities !

CV5: Creative Voices 5 : Home-Ed LGBTQIA+

11-16 Art + parent connect group

teenagers laughting, pride flag included , whilst painting - spashed of coloured paint.jpg

A much needed free group for young people who are Home-educated and who  identify as LGBTQIA+, and their parents. AIA during sessional work and speaking to parents, identified that there were a group of young people who in some groups were struggling to connect and be accepted, many were also Neuro diverse. Some children had also left school due to the personal journeys they were on and many had also experienced wellbeing issues and lost confidence. Some parents had also struggled to find  others they could connect to who were on a similar journey to them. At AIA we believe everyone is equal, loved and deserves to have their voice heard. Once we find funding  we would like to provide a safe space where children and young people can  connect with others who 'get it'. can feel safe and be themselves whilst being creative and learning new skills and helping wellbeing.  We would also hope to provide a relaxed area for parents to connect and chat. This group will be fully funded and be a safe space to connect,  explore, learn and create , whilst gaining creative and practical skills that may be used in the future and  developing possibilities !
